Why isn't Windows Spotlight working?

Windows Spotlight not working

Info:

Windows 10 Home
All updates installed
Windows Spotlight selected as lock screen

Yet still, there is no sign of the spotlight features working. Don't know if its related, but the 'preview' in the settings shows a 12 hr clock, like in my general time & date settings, yet my lock screen is constantly in 24 hr mode.

In the UK, Asus Vivobook s200.

I'm having problems with Windows Spotlight as well. I do have an image, but it never changes. (Surface 3, Window 10 Home)


Worse, it seems to have taken over the Lock Screen personalization settings. I can no longer change them. A number of others have written about this issue in the Microsoft Community forums.

My picture doesn't change either, unless I change the lock screen settings to, say, picture, pick a random picture, reselect spotlight, then it will come up as this new picture. Glad it's not only me that is having this issue
