Why Microsoft Edge is using lot of memory and CPU after Fall Creators update?

Hi,
I have recently updated my PC to via Fall Creators update. After the update, surprisingly, Microsoft Edge is using extremely high memory and CPU, with only three tabs open its using nearly 1.2GB RAM and 30% CPU. In the opening of the app, its using almost 700MB RAM. What is the problem here? How to fix it? I think it is something to do with Fall update. Thanks.

4GB DDR3 RAM
AMD A6-6310 APU Processor
1TB Hard Disk

Uses a lot of data too. Those on tight data plan, be aware. Switched to Opera mini if possible.
