Why No 9:16 Aspect Ratio to Crop Photos?

Why is there no option to crop photos using a default 9:16 (i.e. portrait) aspect ratio? If I edit photos using the standard "Crop, rotate, auto-fix" tool I get a range of aspect ratio options for cropping: custom, square, 3x4, 4x3, 4x6, 6x4, 5x7, 7x5, 8x10, 10x8 and 16x9. So why no 9:16? They give all of the other inverse options but not this one. What if I just want to zoom in on a standard 9x16 portrait? It seems like I need to first rotate the picture to landscape (16x9), then crop it, then rotate it back. That seems crazy to me.

I must be missing something obvious, in which case I apologize for wasting everyone's time.

Honestly the 9:16 aspect ratio is not to be desired visually.
I want to know why the photo doesn't switch to 3:4 when the camera is held in portrait. I have little use for 9:16.

However I do all of my editing with Thumba Photo Editor. I think it's $0.99 and can edit nearly everything you want. In combination with sky-drive I edit photos from my Nikon DSLR with it before uploading to social site.

I'm not a big fan of 9:16 myself, but since most of my photos live on my device I'd like to match the screen's aspect ratio. It just seems odd that they would leave out that one option.
