I'd guess that's it was removed due to licensing issues - it's pretty common that people who write apps to stream media don't bother make sure that they're legally allowed to.

Sadly, many websites help to promote these apps also without bothering to check the legality.

Microsoft allow these apps to be published as they expect the original license holder to issue a complaint - which I guess has happened in this case.
