Why won't my wireless speaker work with Windows 10?

I have a Soundlink Bluetooth speaker III. It worked perfectly with Windows 8.1. Since installing Windows 10, it pairs and connects successfully according to the Windows dialogue, but I get no sound from the speaker. I receive the audible alert that the connection has completed successfully. However, the sound continues to come from my main pc speakers. I actually have two pcs running Windows 10 and the results are the same on both.
