why won't windows 10 download (replacing 8.1) on my new laptop

have tried 3 times by just hitting download

Try looking for "media creation tool" on Microsoft website. Download that. Upgrade pc choose your install method. (clean or save files)

Look for instructions here. The update would directly upgrade your laptop to Windows 10 Fall Update AKA TH2. Instructions here.
