Wi-Fi button not working :(

As the titile says it will not highlight when pressed or if I long press and go to settings wifi will not switch on.
It says "cant do this at the moment" and suggests a restart but as you can guess does not work either. Tried long press of power button too but still the same.

try soft reset, vol down + power button until it vibrates

Nope that didn't work thanks.
I will try resetting the software through the system menu after backing up.
If that doesn't work it might be time for a new phone
