after upgrading to windows 10 professional wifi showing Limited and No internet access dell inspiron N5050 plzzz help

Welcome to Windows Central.

Here are some of the things you can check:
1. Restart your PC.
2. Ensure that no firewall (except the Windows firewall) is running - disable any third-party firewall.
3. Re-install the drivers for the hardware for your internet connection - you might need to use another PC to download the drivers and then use a flash drive to copy them to your Dell Inspiron.

Should you wish to provide us with more details or ask further questions, please don't hesitate to create a Windows Central account and respond in this thread.

Sir,I had Wifi Limited Connection Problem for My Dell Inspiron 3537 after Windows 10 Upgrade..Please Elaborate the Steps..I mean,Can I use third Party Firewall after updating my Driver like Bitdefender IS 2015?..Please reply ASAP

I cann't also connect to the internet after few restarts after upgrading to windows 10.I can connect to my router but can't access 192.168....etc.
Everything in the setting looks ok. Diagnostic says "Problem with wireless adapter or access point", "Not Fixed"
I'm using Qualcomm Atheros AR9287 adapter on Fujitsu T731

It seems that Bitdefender IS 2015 is incompatible with Windows 10 - I had that software in Windows 7 but it got uninstalled during the upgrade to Windows 10. I haven't tried to reinstall it since that, but you may try to install it again (if it was uninstalled in the first place just like in my case).

My advice would be as follows:
1.Try not using any third party firewall/antivirus software first and check if you have internet connectivity;
2. Install or enable the third party firewall/antivirus and check if the internet connectivity is still there;
3a. If the internet connectivity was unaffected, continue using the third party software.
3b. If the internet connectivity was lost, then it would seem so that the third party software can't be used with Windows 10.

We would need a bit more details:
Can other devices access the internet through the same router?
If not, have you tried resetting the modem (if it is separate from the router itself)?

I also have this problem.

Upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10 it comes up with a limited or no internet access. Never had this issue with windows 7

I'm using a Belkin f9l1106v1 USB wireless stick.

I don't have any Anti-virus software installed. It comes up with this up to 10 times a day. Have to disconnect from the network and then rejoin.

I am having this problem as well using a mobile hotspot. Everything else connects (Xbox One, 360, venue pro, iPad, iPhone, ps3, et cetera) I will roll back the broadcom driver to a 2009 version to see if it improves. If not then well I guess we'll have to see...

Hello. If you are using the Bitdefender Firewall try the following settings: Go to Firewall >Network adapter >Home/office; Stealth mode OFF and generic ON. Everything should work fine. If not, contact us directly.

Hello. Bitdefender Internet Security is compatible with Windows 10, but the upgrade mechanism built into Windows 10 will not immediately upgrade the antivirus to the version compatible with the new operating system. The upgrade procedure is beyond our control and triggers in approximately three hours from installation. You can either wait for the automatic upgrade to kick in or, alternatively, you can point your browser to our website and download the Windows 10-compatible version as soon as the OS upgrade has finished. Please note that, if you choose to manually install the new version, you will be prompted to re-enter your license key upon setup. Regarding the firewall, these setting will surely solve the issue: Go to Firewall >Network adapter >Home/office; Stealth mode OFF and generic ON.

I just want to say THANK YOU!! I installed Windows 10 about 2 weeks ago on my Surface Pro 3 - got BitDefender up and running - all was fine until this morning for some reason WiFi was 'limited'! Followed you simple steps and I'm back in business - thank you!
