What do you mean by activate? With your carrier? If so, the answer is no.

Yeah, with the carrier. I can't activate my phone because I'm not at the US right now .

So, if I flash my phone, I will not have to call Verizon's activation number right? (Just confirming once more, because I would be in a very sticky situation if I had to).

I use AT&T; I've never had to do anything with the carrier when the flashing the phone including when flashed with the recovery tool last week. You have a 4G LTE SIM Card from Verizon, right? It would not need to be activated again; restoring the software on your phone is unrelated.
