Will the 1520 be windows 8.1 ready

"Nokia, slow down!!!!" ok, seriously.....I've been holding off my upgrade for a fortnight while waiting for the 1520 to land in the UK. I'm all fired up, thinking I'm gonna be rocking the very latest Lumia........then......I hear that goldfinger and moneypenny will be landing in Feb/March 2014, with windows 8.1. Well, that sux cause suddenly my 3 month old lumia 1520 is gonna be two models and one massive software improvement out of date. As a consolation I'm sorta hoping the 1520 is going to be able to update to 8.1. Anyone know anymore about 8.1 and what lumia devices will be able to run it?? Thanks

Yes, it will be ready to accept the 8.1 update. Just as every single WP8 device out there. Or.....

Stephen Elop: I have a great idea! Since Microsoft is buying us, let's create a brand new top-end phone, and make it so that it CAN'T be updated!!! GREAT IDEA!
