BASICALLY I broke my phone screen on my Lumia 620 roughly when the black update was just coming out for all you lucky people with every other device it seems.
I was on amber at the time, and still am. But the thing is, I updated my phone after something like GDR3 I think, and that screwed my phone over, I was unable to use the phone cause the screen just stopped working.
As far as I'm aware, Nokia just doesn't like non genuine hardware, even though it does have Nokia on it.

ANYWAY, I wonder will the update solve this problem, cause I just broke a second Lumia 620 I had to replace that one, that ALSO got the screen replaced. this is honestly just a string of bad luck for me.

ALSO, if someone could tell me how to downgrade my OS to basically the factory OS that would be marvellous! cause from a post by Ashley Davies1, see below, explains it quite nicely about the problem I'm having, and further down, a post from DAAAAN explains how to do it, but I just cant get it to work

I hope to hear from someone soon, and also thank you for everyone who reads this, I hope to hear from all of you as soon as possible.

Someone put me out of my misery.

Thanks - Dan

i don't think this update provides a solution for your problem.. at least not from everything i've heard and read so far

:/ Its unfortunate, and really irritating, I'm trying to downgrade as we speak, but its not going so well, Oh well, hopefully ill be able to get my other phone repaired again.

Probably is, but the fact that it was working before I updated it is the irritating part, I mean As far as I'm aware this has screwed some people over.

There have been many cases with digitizer malfunctioning if its not a genuine one !!
Check out the L820 thread where many people had malfunctioning and ghost touches after replacing the digitizer.

Imo Nokia uses a special screen because it has to be compatible with supersensitive touch !!

sent either from my Nokia Lumia 820 or HTC Desire HD

i am too facing the problem with unresponsive screen and power button in my 620 after upgrading to 8.1 please solve this ASAP
