Win 10 Anniv. installa tion on my desk top (not this tablet) lost my PIN & password

The installation otherwise seems complete, but I am locked out of my most important machine. Microsoft Help wasn't helpful. The account password that I had to change apparently affects this tablet (Surface Pro 4), not my PC. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
