Hey guys, was wondering if we should all use a common forum to post any petitions or requests for new apps for Win 10. This would be a great time to request for a developer's interest as the investment required from their end would nearly be zero (if apps are ported)

So why not use this forum/ post (or any other) to consolidate and help each other our with requests for apps no matter which country? Be it requesting on twitter, facebook, emailing with a similar message or a change.org petition, we could try starting them here...Developers are much more likely to take notice if a stronger message is sent out by the community rather than separate randomly timed requests.

What do y'all say?

...why not use this forum/ post...

...What do y'all say?

I think the premise is very good. I also think you targeted the wrong section of the board. This is for Help with Windows Central in your Browser.

May I make a suggestion or two? Get a solid intro post lined up. Maybe do it in Word until you are ready to post. Have a contact guide to show others how to reach out. Make it easy for readers to replicate a method. Then ask for participation.

Look at this excellent thread: http://forums.windowscentral.com/windows-phone-8-1/331993-requested-app-week.html

You can do something very similar (if you don't want to use this already existing one). Target a more appropriate area of the board that will be a good fit and draw more traffic. For the best fit, probably General Windows Phone Discussion Lounge or, since you seem focused on the future why not go to where the future is emerging? The Windows 10 discussion area keeps it geared toward Universal Apps.

Lastly, this is something you will have to commit to. Just dropping the idea will only last a moment in the huge volume of this board. You will need to be in the thread regularly, encouraging others and cheerleading, giving advice and praising those who help. Otherwise it will just fizzle. Also you will want to promote the idea so link the thread in your signature so every post you make advertises the thread's existence.

As this thread is inappropriate for the area it is in, I'm going to close the thread. If you want any further advice or have questions for me, please send me a PM.
