Win 8.1 Update 1 for Samsung Ativ S

Hello,

Can anyone please advise as to how once can put 'Win 8.1 Update 1' onto an open market Samsung Ativ S device? I have tried for the last two weeks, having already successfully installed WP8.1 DP into it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re-enable the DP app and then check for updates, just be aware that you are installing a DP on top of a DP.

Thanks for your advice. I keep trying that method, but it always fails

* The update downloads and get ready to install.
* Device reboots, and you see the two spinning cogs appear.
* The progress bar never changes.
* Eventually the phone simply restarts, showing error #0x80188308


Not sure what to do now.

Thank you for your help. Just for clarity, I am referring to a European Samsung Ativ S (SGH-i8750)...
So all I need to do is reset the phone; Re-download the 'Developer Preview' app; Re-download the phone update?

Sorry to hear that. I have an European Ativ S and resetting it was enough for me to solve the issue.

Thank you all for helping. I still cannot get it to update However, do you need to do a hard reset with the SIM card in the phone?
