Windows 10-Changing Start Menu to 8.1

I installed Windows 10 recently and when it was finished loading all the icons in the start menu are now on my desktop. Is there a way to change it back to the way it was with Windows 8.1. Any and all help is greatly appreciated

You may want to try making your Start Screen appear "Full Screen". To do this, simply type "Use start full screen" in your start menu and press Enter. This will bring you to your Settings page where you can toggle "Use start full screen" on or off - turn it on. As far as I know, that's the closest one can get to the Windows 8.1 version.

Welcome to Windows Central, by the way.

You can also click on the Action Center icon on the system tray, then click Tablet Mode.
