Windows 10 clean install on surface pro

I am trying to do a clean install of Windows 10 for my surface pro using usb media. However, I can't find a way to make the surface pro boot from usb. I actually don't know how to access bios or anything on it. Anyone know how I go about doing a clean install of windows 10 for surface pro?

What you need to do is have a USB key formatted as Fat32 and then copy all the files from the ISO over to the usb key.

Power off the Surface and then plug the usb key in. Hold the volume down button and press the power button (don't hold the power button down), keep the volume down button pressed until the surface logo appears and then release.

If I remember correctly you:

1) Shut down your Surface.
2) insert usb
3) push and hold volume down
4) push the power button
5) when you see the Surface-logo-thingie you release the volume down.

Now it should boot from the USB.

I might agree. I upgraded and W10 is killing my battery. Granted it wasn't all that great on 8.1, but to only have 1.5hrs on a fully charged battery is terrible. And then the intermittent charging doesn't help.

Especially so if the Surface Pro is your main device.
If so I would not bother.

Thanks everyone for the help. Got the surface updated. I will have to pay attention to things like battery life. I already was getting crap battery life anyway. The surface pro is just my office computer. Rarely take it anywhere because the battery life was never all that great. My main computer is a desktop. Wanted to do clean install on surface to see how I liked it before doing clean install on desktop. Just using upgrade version on desktop for now.

Where do i get the Win 10 clean install setup for my surface pro 2? Is it the same as other PC's? I don't need drivers?

I just downloaded the normal ISO and used that. Just have to get your windows key first. I also cleared out all the partitions that came factory installed. Freed up tons of space, though I may find out later that I shouldn't have done that. Haven't had any issues using windows 10 on my surface pro yet.
