Windows 10 folder question

I have a question about this new laptop..finally had it out messing with it got printer on it few more thibgs. But i had 2 folders with pics in tjem on desktop. I sent folders to photos thing in windows 10 i see them there. But i still have the 2 foldets on desktop too. Can i delete them on desktop ? Can i delete those 2 folders on drsktop now ?

If you have 2folders in file explorer that is fine...you can then delete what you want on desktop
