Windows 10 Mobile app testing on Build 10572

Windows developers out there, are any of you having trouble deploying(testing/debugging) Windows 10 Mobile apps to your phone running Build 10572 from Visual Studio 2015? I get the following errors:

Error : DEP6100 : The following unexpected error occurred during bootstrapping stage 'Connecting to the device 'ID'.':
DeviceException - Deployment failed because no Windows Phone was detected. Make sure a phone is connected and powered on.

And

Error : DEP6200 : Bootstrapping 'Device' failed. Device cannot be found. Deployment failed because no Windows Phone was detected. Make sure a phone is connected and powered on.

Does anyone have a solution?

I have the same problem. For my very simple app, I can deploy to Lumia920 powered by couple months old Win10 mobile but I can't deploy to Lumia640 with Win10 mobile 10572. The error contain DEP6100 and DEP6200 as same as yours. Now my hobby project have to be stopped. T_T

For me its both work and hobby projects. Hope Microsoft fixes it soon, maybe in build 10575.

Re: Windows 10 Mobile app testing on Build 10572

Im having the same issue. It wont allow me to deploy or run in debugger, but try this. Build an app package. Make sure your icon sets are tight or the stupid Manifest Icon bullcrap wont let you build a package. The in Settings -> Update -> For Developers -> Developer Mode -> Enable Device Portal.

Then you can access the phone over the network using IP4 in that portal (AppManager) it creates like in the Raspberry Pi2 (Windows 10 Core).

Then you can click 'Apps' then go down to app packages and grab the app package and try and install it that way.

But serious Microsoft! the force is not strong with this build. Get it together. Last chance for Windows Mobile to succeed and finally gain some market share. Bank of America dropped support and Mint now dropping support... Get it together. I almost dont blame development Managers for dropping support... Look how hard it is to develop on the platform.

Windows Universal App is the greatest notion in the history of development on multi-device multi-form factor, but if you cant deploy the apps and debug them natively... What good are they!? </rant>:unhappysweat::angry:

Yeah, exactly same problem here also... I have freshly installed Windows 10 Pro (normal, non insider version) and Visual Studio 2015 Community. Same error when trying to deploy anything on my Lumia 640 with the 10581 build. And on top of that the emulators don't work either :( (They start on Hyper-V but Visual studio can't connect to them)

SOLVED! Thanks for the tip! Since I was only developing for Windows 10 devices i didn't install any 8.1 development tools.... And the developer registration tool isn't available unless you install 8.1 tools also.

So I just ran the Visual Studio installer to add the Windows and Windows Phone 8.1 tools and then I ran the developer registration tool (which indicated that everything was already OK) and then I just deployed my application and it works!!

Which build did you try this on? 10572 or 10581?

Same problem here.

Developing with Visual Studio 2015 Enterprise on Windows 10 Insider Preview build 10576 and trying to deploy on Windows 10 Mobile build 10581 on Lumia 640.

I'm using 10581 and it works perfectly now. Just installed all the 8.1 tools and it just works! Works fine with Lumia 640 and 930 both running 10581 now.

Edit: And i have of course enabled developer mode and all the device discovery and the device portal in phone settings.

Reinstalling of the phone USB drivers helped me. Check the Sergioko's comment:

I was facing same issue after my Win10 update. This error is coming because IpOverUsbSvc service stopped. You need to start this by going in Task Manager=>Service and start IpOverUsbSvc
