Windows 10 mobile apps including even settings and edge missing in build 10149. How to solve this?

Some of the windows 10 apps are missing. At first it was music and calendar and i reset the phone from settings. After resetting, Settings, Edge, Store-Beta are missing. Those are not in the apps list and when I try to access it from the action center, it says that I need an app to do so and prompt me to download from store. Since settings are missing I can neither check for updates nor reset. Is there any solution?

Try doing hard reset using the key combination

This happened to me--could not get into Settings to do a hard reset because the device said settings were not there! I had to use the recovery tool, go back to 8.1, let everything install, hard reset (this hard reset after using the recovery tool seemed to make a big difference). Then reinstalled 10149, let apps install, hard reset. It's been ok since then.
