I understand that Windows 10 Mobile is no longer a priority for Microsoft. But I have a Lumia 950, running the latest insider build. They still are supporting the OS for another year or two with bug fixes and security fixes.
So why is it that things like Skype and Email/Account settings are SO BADLY BROKEN right now and have been for a long time? Do they no longer test their own apps on Win10 Mobile?
For example, outlook.com and office365/exchange email accounts - you CANNOT go into settings to change sync settings or to even remove or rename an account. The only thing you can do is to uninstall Outlook mail & calendar, reinstall it, and set up all of your accounts again with different settings. This has a LOT of feedback on the feedback hub, and even though they keep releasing updates to the mail & calendar app, this is STILL BROKEN.
Skype is the same way, for at least a month now it has been horribly broken (and has huge feedback on the feedback hub) - mark a message chain read, and a minute later it is unread again - notifications no longer show the contact name, but only the phone number - it is HORRIBLY slow trying to sync up sms messages, and seems to want to resync quite often.
I love my Lumia 950, and don't want to get rid of it, but MS is pushing out really bad software and they really don't seem to care. This really is frustrating to me as a user, but even more frustrating because I'm a software developer. As I developer, I strive to put out the highest quality software. I would be fired where I work if I had released the latest version of Skype or the Mail & Calendar app. And of course, this is why we also have thorough QA testing (not done by developers) to make sure things like that don't get released.
And if they really want us to stop using Win10 Mobile, then they should pay me back the $550 I spent on this phone almost 2 years ago.
