Should I upgrade to windows 10 mobile now or still wait for the OTA update?

I would suggest waiting for a week until the rumored Feb 29th date passes. If not you can still enroll in the insider preview and download the 10586.107 update.. The build is pretty stable (provided you hard reset after the upgrade).

If ur ready to lose ur apps by hard resetting. If not wait for OTA.

I agree, but with a caveat being what device you have. Depending, it might not be in the first wave and your wait may be extended. Also, if your phone is carrier branded, there may be delay for testing, etc.

Insider Release Preview is a new ring and is what would roll out OTA (or should be :winktongue
