Windows 10 Phone - How can I connect WIFI to a hidden/not broadcasting network

Hi there,

Received my Lumia 950 XL with Windows 10 last week, and all so far so good. However, I have a few clients that a visit regularly that use hidden WIFI networks or networks that do not broadcast. These normally have to be setup manually on the device, but I can't find anywhere in Windows 10 phone settings to deal with a manual wifi connection setup? Is this just not currently possible, or am I missing something?

Hello.

In the Wi-Fi screen, scroll down to the bottom, and tap the Manage button, then tap the + button at the menu of that screen. There, you can type in the SSID of your hidden network, then you'll be prompted for the WPA passphrase.

Ah... Excellent, easy when you know how... Wasn't so obvious at first glance until you pointed me in the right direction... Thank you very much... much appreciated... :-)

Sure, let the wireless lan broadcast its SSID, in case you are in charge. There is no point in 'hiding' it, only causing a load of issues with the devices and not giving you the slightest advantage regarding security. Also, your Lumia is going to use more battery when having set up a hidden network.
