Windows Central Question

I recently upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10. When i was in windows 7, the realtek audio driver's control panel showed my 5.1 speakers' channels as 2 front painr, center and subwoofer, and then the rear pair. But now in windows 10 the 'rear pair' shows as 'side pair' and I lost the surround sound. What is the fix for this?

Apparently Realtek now uses the official definition of 5.1, which is having side speakers, not rear speakers. It's 7.1 that now adds rear speakers. So the fix is just plug the black jack into the grey socket, and you'll have 5.1 again.
