windows 10 settings>phone

After I link my phone to windows 10, under settings it says you do not have any apps linked in a box with grayed out icons of outlook, edge, etc. My note 8 is completely loaded with Microsoft apps. Why is this function grayed out?

to clarify, this is under settings>phone on windows 10, not on the phone.
