Windows 10 start menu sucks in tablet mode?

Am I the only one who thinks the start menu in Windows 10 is really bad in tablet mode? I hate that you have to push the hamburger button for the actual menu to show up. Is it me or does this completely defeat the purpose of having a start menu button? I would think that it would at least make sense for the start button to bring up the menu at least when the start screen is already up but it does nothing. Anyone else thinks this is a lack of good design?

I never use tablet mode on my Pro 4.
