Windows 10 surface pro 2 and surface pro 3 wifi disappeared

Hi all,
My wife's surface pro 2 wifi disappeared a few days after installing windows 10, and my surface pro 3 after 2 months with windows 10. Has anyone else had this problem? It's as if the tablets wifi hardware disappeared completely. "No wireless connections found".
Restarted many times, no results. No wifi present.
Any help?

Also, if I try to enable the WiFi, nothing happens, it just sits there saying disabled.

I've had wifi issues on many systems with Windows 10 but Surfaces seem to be one of the most problematic. However, I've never had anything a reboot, router reset or driver reinstall hasn't fixed.

Yes happened with my SP2 - I removed the router rebooted and added it back fresh. Has worked fine since.
