Windows 10 update stuck on configuring update for windows 10 65 complete. How can I get it to complete?

Windows 10 update stuck on "configuring update for windows 10 65% complete".

It's been like that for at least 4 hours. I'm updating from Windows 8.1 on a 64 bit tobisha computer. Help?

Power off / on your PC. It will revert back to your previous OS. Then start over the Win 10 upgrade.

I had the same problem on an older laptop. I didn't care if this laptop got updated so I powered it down when it was stuck on upgrading to W10.
Anyway, the above procedure worked for me.
