Windows 10 - Why does cortana have no sound?

I can hear videos and notifications but Cortana is silent.

I pressed the microphone to open Cortana but it freezes so I tried to press the start button it is also frozen and then I tried hey Cortana there was no response so I just have to wait until it unfreezes but Cortana still has the live title on. please help me fix this problem.
