Windows 11 Desktop Flicker

My sons PC has developed a problem in the last twenty four hours.

When at the Windows Desktop the screen momentarily flickers off and then back on. If you are in the process of accessing a shortcut you have to try again when the screen returns.

This only occurs when viewing the desktop. If using an app etc....you can still see the desktop flicker away, behind the app which doesn't disappear.

• We have tried reinstalling the display driver via a clean install.
• Booting into Safe Mode and attempting to reset the PC via a Local Install. This failed - reason unknown.
• Removing any recently installed apps.

The PC is around eighteen months old and has had no other issues.

All thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

Have you tried using a different DisplayPort or HDMI cable to connect the monitor to the graphics card?
