Windows 8.1 on a Surface Book?

Has anyone tried, or does anyone know if you can run Windows 8.1 on a Surface Book. I know most of you probably think I'm on crack, but having used Windows 10 for almost 2 months I'm just not impressed. I love the new Windows Hello, and the new Cortana features, but I love the touch first UI, and Windows 10 is not it. It just feels so inefficient, and generally I find it annoying, not to mention the hoops I have to go through with OneDrive now.

Also, if I pay for and install 8.1 will I lose my right to Windows 10?

I guess if you make a USB recovery drive before you install windows 8.1 you should be able to "go back"

Anyhow I looks not like a "good" plan.

I don't believe there are drivers for 8.1 We asked out MS account manager (Enterprise account) and was told flat out that 8.1 isn't supported. We were hoping because as a company, we are not ready to support Windows 10.

Didn't Microsoft recently say that they will not support anything prior to Windows 10 on skylake-based systems? I'd say that should answer your question ...
