Windows 8 Libraries

I use apps such as Movie Premier and Pandora Video Box that monitor your video library and then nicely organize your video files into movies and their respective to shows for proper viewing. Problem is, every now and then certain movies or shows become "corrupt", becoming unplayable in the apps and making the app go bonkers if you go near those files. I couldn't figure out what was going on, until recently when I started viewing those same files in the native Xbox Video app. All the files show up correctly named as the files name. Except for the few that are now problems. Xbox Video no longer shows the name of the file as the videos name, but instead uses the file location as the videos name.

Does anyone know:
?What causes this?
?How to fix it?

I'm no expert, but I'm starting to wonder if the issue isn't actually the file, but the subfolder it is in that is creating the issues.

Thanks for your help in advance.

With xbox video it started using the full path since the latest version
It is to do with if the video has the title embedded into it (right click, properties, details tab)

If it's an AVI file then I think you are out of look, it will always use the full path and filename
If its an mp4 file, make sure it has a Title under the properties, it should then use this
I don't use other file types, but it seems to now look for an embedded title, if it finds one it uses it, if it doesn't then it uses the full path and filename, previously it would use the filename only

The latest file causing problems, that is using the path location as a name, is actually an mp4. I also just a second ago, checked the properties, and the file name is correctly listed, but Xbox video and the apps struggling with it are still choosing to use the location as its file name. Something odd is happening. These files ay one point work correctly, then switches from the correct file name to the path/destination. I think its a folder issue, because once it happens once in a subfolder within the video library, that folder becomes unusable ( same thing happens over and over) even if you delete the folder and make a other with the same name.

Try removing and adding the files again

Had an update for xbox video recently and it is now naming my files as it used to (only for newly added though)

I did.but anything that goes in that folder, now behaves in that manner. Even if I delete the folder and make another one (with the same show title). Using Movie Premier and when this happens, the app cant play that file any longer. Xbox Video can still play the file, but it shows up in that odd naming format. I think the way Windows handles Libraries is a little fruity, because I have experienced glitches like this before as well as issues with the music library.

Essentially, naming any folder that same name, is a no go from here out, and that is a pain because many apps get the TV show information from the name of the folders.
