windows 8 security updates

I have windows 8 did not have the data when they had the 8.1 update now i am not get security updates is there anything i can do without buying windows 10

Pretty sure you have to be at least on 8.1 for updates and all.

You should be able to open store and update to windows 8.1. Also you can still use a windows 8 product key to activate windows 10 so if you want to go to 10 use that rather than buy it.
