I like it.

Haven't decided yet if I'll install the Win 9 preview in September, but if it looks anything like this I will.

Not really a fan. That concept is extremely dependent on the complexity of the image in the wallpaper. Detailed images would make reading a nightmare. I like the idea of soft translucency, but there's a line that shouldn't be crossed.

Microsoft removes a lot of transparency, so a lot of concepts throw it back in like there's much of a chance of it coming back. >_>

Microsoft brought some subtle design things from Windows Phone to Windows9. I can see how they will make Windows, Windows regardless if you are a Windows Phone or Windows Desktop. You can't be a true Windows Guru unless you own two or three of the following:

Windows Desktop
Windows Phone
Surface 2 or 3
