Windows Lumia 650 SMS. No Sound or Notification

Dear all... i have been using the Microsoft lumia 650 since 3 months now. i do not get any sms/text notification or sound alert. i have tried all setting and even hard reset but no result.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

change sound from anything but "default" and don't keep them private

in settings > privacy > background apps - check that messaging is enabled to run in the background
