Hey guys, after using Windows Phone 8.1 for half a year (now having the official Lumia Cyan onboard) and I kinda disappointed with Microsoft ditching feature after feature that make Windows Phone 'pop' among all competition. Hence, I made this concept art detailing what Windows Phone 8.1 would look like if Microsoft stick to its original concept.

Windows Phone 8.1 Documentation.jpg

In case WPCentral forum ruined the image, here's the text inside the infrographic.

We all know windows phone 8.1 Had brought us some interesting New features but also in the same Time, removed some of the Amazing stuff that shouted ?windows phone? This concept detailing if Microsoft held on to their Windows phone concept and Expand it into something fresh But truely unique.

Messaging hub
Like the old messaging hub in Windows phone 7 and 8, it is a Place where you can get your Messages anytime, anywhere. Now in windows phone 8.1, it had Just gone better. Although the Intergrated facebook and live Chat is removed, but supported apps Can be linked to the hub and display Revelant information in the hub, so You won?t loose anything when Upgrading to windows phone 8.1 Supported apps are bbm, facebook, Wechat and whatsapp, and also Standard sms and mms.
Additional features from these apps Can be accessed using the attatch Feature from the hub.

Music+videos

Unlike the retail version of windows phone 8.1, the ?supposed? music+video hub is more extensive than before. Like its counterpart in windows phone 7 and 8, it is the center of all multimedia in windows phone with full access to the vast xbox music+video catalog in the new xbox store. The interface, although similar to the retail version of xbox music in windows phone 8.1 yet it is intergrated into the system, with fluid transitions between pages within the app with litttle or no delay.

Photos
The new photos hub in ?supposed? windows phone 8.1 takes you straight into your camera roll instead of links in the original photos hub. Unlike the retail version of windows phone 8.1, this is an hub, not a simple pivoted app. The background image of the hub can sourced from either the favourites section or from a specific album in the albums list. Photo editing apps can also be accessed from the ?app? section in the hub.

Windows phone store
The windows app store retained the layout of the retail version of the windows phone 8.1 store however, with some modifications. Firstly, the application highlight on the first page of the hub along with relavent background image for it, just like in windows phone 7 and 8. There will be a live tile on the start screen which can be set to cycle through the application highlights, picks for you or a particular catagory. The windows music store is sepereated from the app and being moved to the music+video hub.

Xbox store
This special store which can be acessed from the music+video hub is an one stop place to explore and discover new music, videos and tv shows. An artist showcase will be in the first page on the app as shown along with the bio of the artist and more.

That's what MS should have done. The hubs were a "must have" on Windows Phone and one of the greatest features that brought me to the OS.

Same here, I really hoped MS will see the error they had done in Windows Phone 8.1 and give us a better experience when Threshold is out.
