Firmware update will include new drivers for windows phone 8.1 , tweaks and bug fixes for lumia devices , optimisations , support for new apps from Nokia :smile:

They already did: Windows Phone 8.1 lifecycle support starts June 24th | Windows Phone Central

The Windows Phone 8.1 life cycle begins on June 24; that doesn't necessarily mean it will begin dropping that day. I can't imagine it'll be long after that, though.
