Windows Phone 8.1 update not showing up

I'm from India and I own a Lumia 525. I haven't got windows phone 8.1 update yet. I came to know that it is a developer preview & available for only developers. But few of my friends have got update and they have upgraded to windows phone 8.1 though they don't have developer accounts. Also my phone update setting is not showing the up this update, it says phone is up to date. Please help me to upgrade my phone.

I hv just checked there is no update for both pfd users as well as non pfd users

In India only Lumia 1520(today),925 and 625 got the WP 8.1 and cyan update...so don't get confused you will see if there is the news of an update for your phone in WPCentral
