Windows Phone 8.1 vs Windows 10 Mobile TH2?

Heya

I use the Lumia 1020 mainly for taking pictures. Initially I thought it would be best to use it with Windows 10 Mobile TH2, because in my opinion it's the 'best' Windows 10 Version for unsupported devices.

With TH2 there are nearly no bugs, and every function of the device is working.

After using it a bit I surely noted how slow the device actually is at taking pictures compared to a Lumia 950 XL.

I still use only Lumia Camera 4.10.0.6.

My question is: Is Lumia Camera performing any faster in WP8.1? I would not think so, because it's the same app / hardware.

To be fair, the 1020 is slow to capture photos compared to most phones out there, or so I heard. (I had a 920)

Yeah I'm aware of that. I was just wondering if it would be any faster in WP 8.1 or not.

I'm pretty sure 'overall' Windows Phone 8.1 will be faster, or at least feel faster. But I'm just interested in the performance of taking pictures.

I am a recent 1020 owner. I've just kept mine on 8.1 and never tried W10M on it.

However, my experiences with 1520 where I did go from 8.1 Denim to W10M convinced me that just for camera, there is no worthwhile advantage in W10M and that 8.1 actually processes pics (subjectively) better and (demonstrably) faster.
