Success ?? No
Fail ?? No

I'd say it depends on Microsoft and not so much about the apps that everybody fussing about.

All it takes is insane marketing.
Just look at Samsung, iPhone, now even LG (g2,g3).

Or we could start by defining success and fail.

What do we as consumers want ??

Has facebook taken over our lives that much that we can't have a phone without an official fb app or YouTube or whatever.

My 930:
Camera 10/10
Os: 9/10
Hardware: 10/10
I must say Nokia nailed it with the "hidden" heating feature.

Take care and enjoy life !!

No, that isn't true. People buy apple products because they are good.

Agreed. I'm no Apple fan, but I have had a couple iPhones. People would quit buying them if they weren't good. Apple earned their following. And on the same token, I believe that more people would buy WPs if they were up to the same level, in spite of poor marketing. Marketing is very important, but the best marketing in the world won't work if the product doesn't measure up.
