I have an xbox gold account but I have put my real age in (14), would it mean I wouldn't be able to purchase or download some apps on the store if I use that account on the windows phone?

Not without your parents permission, MS/XBOX doesn't want you to have apps that are age restricted, your parents will sue them if that happened :wink:
I'm sure there's a workaround -several here (underage) have had similar issues in the last week, use the advanced search and look for those threads they probably
have figured things out.
