Anyone installed the Technical Preview on a touch device?

I have an Acer Iconia W3 and I'm scared to install it just in case I get force into desktop only!

Currently installing on my Asus laptop :)

even if you're desktop only, one giant chunk of the point of 10 is that is adapts. If it doesn't give you proper stuff at first, you should be able to change is in the settings easily.

The start menu in Win 8 kind of sucked. I'm liking the direction they went with Win 10. That tile page on the start menu? Imagine if it showed your WP start screen there. It's exciting to think about.

I did install it on a W3 and disabled the start menu via the taskbar propertiesCapture.JPG

So the app list on the left is gone? At least for now? Also, I cannot swipe into app menus from the top or bottom. I understand this this current version is probably meant for systems with mouse and keyboard, but I hope swiping from the left returns to normal. Or is there a setting I can't find?

Does the charms bar work on touch devices?
Yes.

I installed this on my Venue 8 pro, 32 gb.
I had to do this With the help of an usb otg-cable, a four port usb hub, mouse and keyboard and an usb stick.

Touch, sound, wifi and chipset functions didn't work until I installed the drivers after the installation was Complete.
Dells win8.1 drivers work great. No errors and everything now Works well.

In general the tablet Works very well With 10, and the Power management seems better also.
Usually the dvp8pro would turn on by itself and drain all the battery when running 8.1.
There were also instances where it would be glowing hot during standby, and of course, drain the battery.

After almost one workday With 10, these problems seem to be gone.

The general usability of the tablet seems to be about the same as With 8.1.
The only things missing is the "modern" ie and swipe to Close modern apps.
I eventually got the modern ie working also, but then i realized that MS had their reasons for disabling it.

I am looking forward to an improved Version of 10, where these minor issues has been fixed.
Task view is Nice, and i like the way that it can be swiped in from the left.

The windowed modern apps could need some more polishing.
On the tablet it should be full screen automatically.
The little settings bar is really small on a 8 inch screen.

Conclusion:
I am very happy With 10!
