Windows Vista PC won't recognize Windows 7 Phone

I've been having a few problems with my phone connecting to my PC. I run on the basic Windows Vista system and recently had to reset everything to brand new. Within doing so, I believe something was deleted because my PC won't recognize my phone. I am not able to transfer files or even download the Zune software.

I'm at a standstill with what to do. I've been trying to download driver after driver but nothing will work.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to download he Zune software from the zune.net website. I would start with that.

Same thing happended to me. Turned out it was the phone that was bad. I would suggest trying to sync from another PC. Hopefully you still are under warranty.

Zune does not install on my PC and my phone syncs to other PCs. So it could be either or I guess.

What type of message are you getting when trying to download / install Zune? I also run Vista and didn't have any problems there.
