WMP 6.1 question

I upgraded to the newest official ROM... should my device say I'm running WMP6.1 ? Under settings > about it says I'm running WM 6 Professional (not 6.1). I also don't see the threaded SMS option. I do have the GPS activated so I'm pretty sure the upgrade worked.

The rom upgrade is not Windows Mobile 6.1. That Mobile 6.1 is an OS upgrade that is hopefully coming soon.

If you've got the TelNav GPS then you have the upgrade. The SMS I have no idea...I don't use that at all.

Sorry, I'm a complete newb to these forums. I read through that thread really briefly and wasn't sure if the "official" update had been released or not. I saw a June 1st date posted as the release date, but obviously we're well past June 1st.

If I add the "test" version, will the "official" version just update off the test version?

No, this is a test rom that is not official. People are having a ton of issues with it. Per the thread, Sprint was fixing a ton of bugs in it and hoped, hoped to have it ready by june 1st, but did not.

I would hold off and wait for the official rom. Also, to get the official roms, go to the HTC web site here.
