No seriously, Hololens really should be able to change things dramatically.
Take Yu-Gi-Oh!. The Anime (minusing all the magic and shadow realm bits) has everyone dueling using holographic representatives of the monster. We can do that now.
Take Captain Toad TT. Imagine one of those levels sitting on your coffee table while you're navigating the Captain around. You can look around naturally, or spin and manipulate the level to get a better view (obviously making the residents endearingly hold on for dear life).
And as a bonus, take one of those magic/gaming animes (no examples come to mind at the moment but please give me an idea of what to watch) Where people can invoke a command which dresses them in battle gear and they can call projectiles and ****. That can lead to a really cool augmented LARP; The Hololens would project costumes and weaponry more realistic than cardboard and styrofoam, and people can generate virtual magical attacks and projectiles that strike other people and wear down their HP. You can dodge like natural, and aiming might be as easy as eye tracking.
Don't you want this?
