Wow new for Canada...maybe just Ontario?? Old hat for USA..Emergency Alerts.

Well it's one feature that works on Windows Phone 10.

I got a text last week from Wind ( Now Freedom ) Mobile, that on the 7th ( Today ) and the 9th an Emergency Alert was to be sent as tests.

So this week I am using my Lumia 640 XL ( Cyan Cover ), and the old US Emergency Alert System sound blasted. Kinda caught me off guard too LOL.

Now the trouble is being Canada we don't have a President

So an adjustment needs to be made........

I think we get one on the 9th. I got the earlier test a month ago.

Yup, the test they did on May 7th in Quebec and Ontario failed miserably according to the news LOL. I'm in the western hemisphere and our test is supposedly on the 9th.

At work last night I asked around, some on Rogers got it, some did not. Looks as if all Mobile providers had issues.

I hope the 9th goes well LOL

The emergency test also failed in Quebec, waiting to see what happens in Alberta when it comes thru.
