WP 8.1 works great on my Nokia 822

I was a bit nervous because I couldn't find a lot of feedback about 8.1 and my Nokia 822 but I downloaded it and I wanted to put my 2 cents in and let people know 8.1 is working great on my Nokia 822. No issues of any kind. I hope it continues.

I've been debating on whether to upgrade or not on my 822. I'm on 8.0 right now, I'm not sure about signing up for the developer thing to get the upgrade or just wait until its released whenever that may be. Is this considered a beta or stable release? My hesitation comes from running a beta OS.

It's completely stable for me, in fact for me its more stable than 8.0

as you can see most of us here haven't had any problems so far and I also have it running on my sisters 822 and its running perfectly.

it's been 3 weeks and I have had no major issues at all. Cortana is well worth the upgrade. My only issue is I can't seem to get my outlook alias e-mail on my phone but I'm sure it will get worked out.

How can i update software from 8.0 to 8.1 Lumia 822

You need to go to the app store and download the app called "preview for developers" and open it and follow the prompts. When you install 8.1 it is best to reset your phone and do not restore your setting and apps from a backup.

I just want to add that 8.1 made me feel like I had a brand new phone.

Microsoft really delivered this time, functionality is much better and the it brings the OS up to parity with Android and iOS.
