WP Store crAppage

Searching for quality WP apps is sometimes like looking for diamonds in a coal mine but whats going on here?



There are five of these apps with the same name and icon but from different publishers and the reviews are that it doesn't work properly anyway. Why MS decided to allow multiple apps to have the same name is another mystery?

This is a good question that Microsoft hasn't really done a good job answering unfortunately. The cynical answer would be that Microsoft is interested in increasing the number of apps in the store, as unfortunately it's used as a metric in comparison to other platforms (no one compares numbers of GOOD apps in each store).

What's the real answer? Who knows.

Look at all the Notes apps as well, many use the same icon, and are apparently the same app.

And why do most of the free apps have to have crappy ads??!! With no pay option!
