WP8.1: how to format exFat?

For some reason I can't reply to my thread on video size limits but this is a follow up to that.
I have a 64GB microSD card in Nokia 820. My videos stop recording at 4GB. So I must have FAT formatting - I never formatted it myself after receiving it. But I have read that cards >32GB are formatted exFAT.
I want to back up the data on the card, and reformat it in the phone. Will the phone format it exFAT? This is what I read in the microsoft docs

From what I read on the link supplied is that WP will format the card according to the size of the card. So anything <32GB gets FAT and anything >32GB gets exFAT.

So your 64GB card will be formatted exFAT in the phone.
