WP8.1 SD Card issues HELP!!

Well after updating to windows phone 8.1 preview on my Lumia 520, it keeps warning me that my SD card is full, the volume bar on both my PC and Lumia show that only a few KB are left... But when I select all files on the SD card on my PC, I've only got like 1.37GB of data and files in my 1.79GB SD card... I have tried to format my SD card and put all the files back(It correctly shows that I have 1.37GB) but it was filled to full again just a few moments ago...

Also none of the photos I received from Whatsapp after updating can be found on my SD card... But they are certainly downloaded, I can see them offline in Whatsapp. New photos are set to be saved in SD card...

What should I do?

not to sound rude or anything but I would say get a bigger SD card. rly: I say it because it could save you the time of not worrying about running of space

But that 400 something MB just disappeared for no reason :unhappysweat: and the problem is that the total file size of ALL files in the card is only 1.37GB...
Nevermind but I just wanna find out why this happens...

Depending on the number of files, the lost space may be just consumed in how the files are stored. Memory is set up in blocks, so for example a 10kb file might actually consume 20kb of storage if that's the smallest data block available on the drive.

Or you might have hidden system files consuming space on the card.

The same thing is happening to me too.
I have a 64 GB card, after Win 8.1 update, the storage sense always shows 0.00 KB left. I have 10 GB free on my card. Something eats up the space. I have a lumia 1520. Viewing pics too is very slow. Win 8.1 is the worst.

How much ever space i free up on my card something just fills it up. Any solution to this ?
