WP8 & Exchange

I was wondering with the WP8 exchange app is there a way to when I read an email on my phone it doesn't mark it read on my server? I was using Touchdown for Android and they had a setting where if i read an email on my phone and then logged in to my email from a browser or outlook that email wouldn't be marked read. It would be marked unread. I've searched everywhere and I can't find a setting.

Marking them unread in the phone's native email application doesn't do anything?
